There are many different ways to describe what a care
package is. You can say that it is a package of love, or a
"goodie" box. Basically a care package is a package you put
together full of food, clothing, or necessities that you send out to
your sailor while they are deployed.
Here are a few examples of what you can put in a Care package.
DO NOT SEND ALCOHOL!!!!!!
cookies
candy
popcorn (microwavable)
Kool-Aid
Powdered drinks
Bake goods (cakes, cookies, brownies)
Band-Aids
socks
tee-shirts
prepaid calling cards
paper
writing utensils
potato chips
magazines
paper back books
toiletries
VHS tapes prerecorded with favorite TV shows
Pictures
When sending a care package...send the package Two Day Priority mail.
Now this does not mean that your sailor one will get the care package in
two days, it only means that it will get to the FPO address within two
days. The sooner you get the package to the FPO address, the sooner it
will shipped to your sailor.
